Supportive therapies

Extra support for stubborn soft tissue pain

The clinic uses the Storz D-ACTOR 100 for Radial Pressure Wave Therapy, also known as shockwave therapy, for musculoskeletal concerns involving chronic soft tissue pain and dysfunction.

Ultrasound and electrical stimulation

Ultrasound therapy uses sound waves to reach deep tissues and support circulation and healing for soft tissue injuries. Neuromuscular electrical stimulation, also called E-Stim or muscle stim, uses electrical currents to stimulate muscle contractions, which can help reduce pain, strengthen injured muscles, and support tissue healing. Both are non-invasive and are selected based on your exam.

Heat, cold, and decompression support

Cold therapy is typically used for acute concerns such as sprains or strains, while heat therapy is used to increase circulation and relax muscles. Mechanical traction therapy, often called decompression, is used as part of a broader plan to relieve spinal pain, improve mobility, and support spinal health. Your care plan explains which options fit your stage of recovery.
